After Madonna talked about the Italian government, and its prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, stating that Berlusconi "is unsuited to govern Italy," the Italian party PdL (Popolo della Libertà) reacted, saying "We're safe if Madonna is taking England as an example, because England is an apparent breakdown of family structures, a total disintegration of society." 
"Her political opinion means nothing. The Italians knows she's a multimillionaire, and they will not be trapped by it. Besides, miss Ciccone is openly supporting homosexual families, and that means she is against our culture and our Constitution that does not include gay families."
