Madonna may cut up to ten minutes of footage from W.E., after the film took a savage beating from film critics. The singer's second directorial effort focuses on the love affair between Wallace Simpson and King Edward VIII, and has been met with mixed - albeit largely negative - reviews.
A source told the New York Post: "They had to look at Venice and Toronto [film fesitvals], and see if there were any changes that needed to be made. "Madonna can make any changes she wants."
W.E. will play in the UK for the first time at the BFI London Film Festival on October 23.
