Madonna’s brother is trying to encourage people to get behind his fight to take over from Simon Cowell on American Idol.
Christopher Ciccone – who wrote a tell-all book about his famous sister which was released in 2008 – has high hopes that he could be the man for the job, when Cowell steps down to focus his attention on the US X Factor.
And he believes he’s more than qualified for the job, having grown up with the Queen of Pop herself.
Speaking to the New York Post, Ciccone said: “I think I can bring a particular kind of credibility to the show.” He added: "I'd be the only person sitting at the table who actually created a popstar from the beginning, and helped keep her there for 20 years. I know what it takes to make it."
Madge’s brother also claims the star would be “supportive” of his dream.
