On November 12th 1984, Madonna's second studio album, "Like A Virgin", saw the light of the day. Produced by Nile Rodgers, then 26-year-old singer dedicated it "to all virgins of the world". The album sold 21 million copies worldwide, becoming Madonna's highest selling album.
The title song, "Like A Virgin", became an international hit and Madonna's trademark. She performed the song on the first annual MTV Video Music Awards in 1984, wearing a wedding dress and a "Boy Toy" belt.
The album was promoted on "Virgin Tour" in 1985.
